New A/B Test for Your Vote: Homepage Nav Bar & Footer

Which homepage design do you think got 21% more clickthroughs? If you’ve ever wondered if removing your nav bar and footer links would help homepage or landing page conversion rates, you’ll find this test fascinating.

BTW: the marketer behind this test is none other than Tim Ferriss, bestselling author of “The 4-Hour Work Week”. (He happens to be a key investor the site tested, which is a paid membership site for health- conscious consumers.)

So, from now on, if anyone (including yourself) says, “We don’t have time for testing”, you should reply, “If Tim Ferriss has time for testing in his four-hour week, so do we!”

Here’s the link again — I’m looking forward to your comments.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who linked to us and helped get the word out about WhichTestWon this past week, especially Tim Ash, Linda Bustos, Roberta Rosenberg, Blog E-Commerce de Francois Ziserman, GetElastic blog, Will Scully-Power, Targetstone Blog, Nathaniel Stott, Carsten Kraus, Alexa Samuels, Keven Smith, Klaas Knook, Dan Croxen John, Stefan von Bröckel, BuzzMyStat, Jessica Kahn, David C.
